Shannon here:
I thought I'd like to share that as of this morning, I have now lost 20 pounds since starting P90. I started at 235 pounds.
20 pounds in 48 days which equals close to losing a half a pound a day.
The funny thing was that I weighed myself first thing yesterday (Saturday) morning and weighed 217. I then got real down on myself and starting wondering why I hadn't lost more. This was the second week in a row where I only lost a pound.
I didn't know what was wrong. I just bumped up to level 3-4. I'm working out harder yet I lost less. I was so confused.
At any rate, I assessed the many reasons why; too much fruit, starting drinking protein powder, stopped taking energy supplements. It could have been all of those reasons. It could have been none.
My girlfriend and her sister kept telling me that it was because I was building muscle but I know it takes a while for a pound of muscle to replace a pound of fat. I consulted with Mat and he made me feel better even though we couldn't pinpoint the exact reason.
He reminded me that it didn't matter how much I lost week to week but that by having this different lifestyle of working out and eating better, I will lose it eventually anyway. Not to mention, feel better physically and mentally FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
I went to bed feeling a little better. Woke up this morning and hit the scale first thing and wouldn't you know it, 215 popped up on the display. 20 pounds. Gone.
What I lost was 2 pounds of stress and worry.
And I feel a weight off my shoulders....and stomach...and legs.
You get the idea.
